Philmont - Trail Crew

The Order of the Arrow Trail Crew program takes you out west to Philmont Scout Ranch in the beautiful Cimarron, New Mexico.

OAOAFor the 3rd OA Trail Crew Arrowhead first week, participants have the chance to make a significant difference to Philmont by participating in trail building in the backcountry. Work will include clearing terrain for trail and constructing switchbacks, retention bars, and several other erosion controls.

The second week of the program is spent experiencing all the programs and activities Philmont as to offer. Unlike regular treks, Trail Crews make their own itinerary, instead of selecting from pre-planned routes. You can do and see just about anything, from the Tooth of Time to Baldy Mountain.

Florida Sea Base - Ocean AdventureOAOA

The Ocean Adventure brings you down south to the Florida Sea Base located on the Florida Keys.

This ten day program will provide an array of service opportunities that include work helping to develop the Florida Keys Heritage Trail, removing invasive species in and around the Sea Bases Big Munson Island, and supporting both the Crane Point Nature Center and Marathon Wild Bird Center in preserving the Keys flora, fauna and wildlife.

Once the service portion is complete, Arrowmen will be able to enjoy wilderness camping, kayaking, sailing, fishing, snorkeling, team building, and more.

Canadian Odyssey

OACOCanadian Odyssey program is an experience like no other. For two weeks, you will join together with Arrowmen from around the country and experience the wild beauty of the Quetico Provincial Park of Ontario, Canada.

The Quetico Provincial Park is a vast wilderness with over 600 lakes set inside more than a million acres. The Canadian Odyssey allows Arrowmen, returning and new participants alike,to see and explore entirely new territory while at the same time providing crucial service. Odyssey crews will labor to repair and maintain portage trails in Ontario during the first week. The second week they will paddle back to the United States on a route of their choosing.

Northern Tier - Wilderness VoyageNorthern Tier

The Order of the Arrow Wilderness Voyage program is a fourteen-day experience at the Charles L. Sommers Canoe Base, part of the Northern Tier National High Adventure Bases, in Ely, Minnesota.

One-half of the OA Northern Tier Wilderness Voyage focuses on portage trail and campsite maintenance within the Boundary Waters. The remaining expedition is spent on a canoeing adventure that is planned and chosen by the participants in the program.

Summit Bechtel Reserve - Summit Experience

The Order of the Arrow Summit Experience program is an eight-day adventure at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve bordering the New River Gorge National River Area.

SummitBechtel Four days of the program will be focused on building or maintaining trail around the Summit, and the New River Gorge National River Area. The remainder of the experience will revolve around white water kayaking and rafting, along with mountain biking, climbing and other Summit activities. Participants will not only build trail, but also bonds of brotherhood as they start their High Adventure journey.

The program is designed to entice younger Arrowmen to participate in High Adventure. Lodges and Chapters are encouraged to participate as a crew. Arrowmen ages 14 but not yet 18 will have the opportunity to explore all that the summit has to offer in terms of adventure, brotherhood, and cheerful service.

Pamola Lodge 211 is the Order of the Arrow lodge for the Katahdin Area Council, serving northern and eastern Maine, and is part of the Order of the Arrow, Northeast Region and Section NE-1. Pamola Lodge has the biggest area of any lodge east of the Mississippi and is the most northern lodge in the continental United States.
